It's Gold for Camilo Farm Blend in 2017
Camilo is proud to announce our 2017 Farm Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been awarded a Gold Medal at the Australian International Olive Oil Competition. This complex EVOO is the perfect blend of Taggiasca and Pendolino that was grown right here in the Camilo Grove. We have exported a lot of this blend to Japan but it is also a popular oil with many of our amazing local restaurants and providore's. We hope you get to taste it soon.
Best of Class Absolute Southern Hemisphere Domina IOOC
Camilo's 2015 Classic Ligurian extra virgin olive oil won Best in Class Absolute Southern Hemisphere Award in Domina International Olive Oil Competition in 2016.
There were 327 competitors from the southern and northern hemispheres - and 21 countries.
Olive Japan - silver medals in 2017
Camilo was proud to win silver medals for our Extra Virgin Olive Oil Blends and infused extra virgin olive oil in 2017, in the Olive Japan International Olive Oil Competition.
La Vie, a new French restaurant in Kamakura, Japan, has chosen Camilo oils and salts for use in its menu. Chef Ikeda made a fabulous Camilo-focused five-course menu during Joan's recent visit there when a group of olive oil enthusiasts joined in the magnificent meal and heard about Camilo's grove and oil making.
Chef Ideka and his wife Kana-San continue to use Camilo products - and have them available for customers to buy once they have tasted their beautiful food.

This is a great little book (well, not so little, it runs to more than 800 pages most years) that is used as THE guide to buying extra virgin olive oil. Author Marco Orregia says Flos Olei covers the world's top 500 extra virgin olive oils.
